Laboratory for Numerical Physics

In the Laboratory for Numerical Physics we primarily use ab inito techniques based on density functional theory (DFT) to treat condensed matter systems, focusing on their magnetic, structural, and quantum-nuclear properties. Classical and quantum propeties of defects and implanted particles like muons, as used in the large-facility muon spectroscopy (μSR) technique, are also a particular focus of our studies.
