Research interests

Themes: ab initio DFT calculations, quantum muon and nuclear effects, frustrated spin systems and quantum spin liquids, topological magnetism and skyrmions, percolation, chaos theory

Experimental methods: muon spectroscopy (μSR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), electron spin resonance (ESR), elastic and inelastic neutron scattering (INS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), resonant elastic X-ray scattering (REXS), torque magnetometry

Theoretical methods: ab initio density functional theory (DFT) calculations of muon stopping sites and magnetic exchange interactions, path-integral molecular dynamics (PIMD) calculations of quantum muon and nuclear zero-point motion, exact diagonalization (ED) modelling of spin systems, Monte Carlo (MC) simulations of percolation and chaotic systems
