Laboratory for Numerical Physics

  • In the Laboratory for Numerical Physics we primarily use ab inito techniques based on density functional theory (DFT) to treat condensed matter systems, focusing on their magnetic, structural, and quantum-nuclear properties. Classical and quantum propeties of defects and implanted particles like muons, as used in the large-facility muon spectroscopy (μSR) technique, are also a particular focus of our studies.
